Capturing memories since 1979

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Urban Decay Photography present their tenth collaborative event. We return to the historic State Theater in Stoughton, MA. The State Theatre in Stoughton, MA, built in 1927, was designed as a motion picture and vaudeville house by famed architects Funk and Wilcox of Boston’s North Station, the Somerville Theater and Dorchester’s Strand. Intended to be “an atmospheric theater” with ornately decorated walls, a grand proscenium stage and a modern Estey pipe organ, the State is possibly the last of such venues remaining in Massachusetts. After Vaudeville ended in the 1930s, the State continued as a movie house with several different, popular reincarnations – Interstate Theatre, South Shore Performing Art Center and Stoughton Cinema Pub – entertaining the regional community for 80 years until it closed in 2007.

There will be two sessions to choose from. One runs from 8:00am-11:00am (Session A), the second from 11:00am-2:00pm (Session B). Admission is only $40. (Please indicate in the notes section of PayPal which session you are registering for.) Paid reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, and space is limited.
