Join us on Saturday November 4 as Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Haunted Halloween Village Photography Workshop 2023. This exclusive location in southern NH features movie quality sets, authentic farm backdrops, and monsters looming around every corner. We will have unlimited access to all areas of this amazing location. Perfect for model shoots, this exclusive workshop will focus on capturing photos using this unique setting as a backdrop. Instruction will be provided for both model shooting as well as creating "ghost images." There will be two sessions for this event. The first (Session A) will be from 9:00am-12:30pm, and the second (Session B) will be from 12:30pm-4:00pm. Participation for each time frame is strictly limited to the first 25 paid admissions, so be sure to secure your spot today. Cost for admission is $50 per person. Admission for two is $80, and groups of 3 are only $120. You can stay all day for only $75! Models are permitted with a paid photographer for a $25 fee. This event will be held rain or shine!

ABANDONED HOUSE OF WORSHIP
Meriden, CT

Saint Laurent Church is located in Meriden, CT. Responding to immigrant needs, on May 27, 1880, Bishop Lawrence S. McMahon appointed the multilingual Father Alphonse Van Oppen to found a parish for both the French and Germans. Father Van Oppen bought property on Camp Street, where groundbreaking ceremonies occurred on July 5, 1880. Bishop McMahon dedicated the church basement, named in his honor, on April 10, 1881. On November 4, 1888, the upper church was dedicated, despite delays caused by the Blizzard of 1888. St. Laurent grew with the establishment of a parish school in the church basement in 1893, staffed by the Sisters of the Assumption. In 1903, a new school was erected on Camp Street. It closed in 1998.

 

Admission for this exclusive event is $65.00 per person. Models are permitted for $25.00 when accompanied by a paid photographer. All day passes are available in limited quantity for $100.00. (See pay tabs for special rates for multiple admissions to each session.)

ABANDONED NY MANOR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present an exclusive photography workshop: The Dr. Oliver Bronson House in Hudson, NY. This amazing home, built in 1811, features a unique and photogenic winding staircase, as well as many other examples of period architecture. The house was featured in the 2012 film, "The Bourne Legacy."

 

Admissions to this event will be strictly limited to 15 people per session. Session A will run 9:00am-12:30pm, and Session B 12:30pm-4:00pm. Admission is $75.00 per person. A limited number of all day passes are available for $125. Models are permitted for an additional fee of $25.00 and must be accompanied by a paid photographer; limit one model per photographer. No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to this event.

ABANDONED HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Mike and Dave present a return to one of their most iconic and exclusive locations - Abandoned Hotel Photography Workshop - The famous Adler Hotel in Sharon Springs, NY. This 150-room, five-story hotel operated from 1929 until 2004. Known for its therapeutic sulfur spa, it catered primarily to a Jewish clientele who travelled to Sharon Springs in the summers. This Spanish Colonial Revival style hotel was a summer destination for guests such as the Vanderbilts, Rensselaers, and Oscar Wilde. You will have complete access to this amazing building, as well as the spa in the basement. Many pieces of furniture, kitchen wares, and other nostalgic items remain inside the hotel for you to photograph. There will be a surprise location added to this event that you won't want to miss.

There will be two sessions for this event. Session A will run from 9:00am-1:00pm, and Session B will run from 1:15pm-5:15pm. Admission cost is $75 per person. ***A SPECIAL ALL-DAY PASS IS AVAILABLE FOR ONLY $125 FOR BOTH SESSIONS*** Groups of three can purchase a pass for $180 for each session, and $325 for both sessions. Models can accompany a paid photography for a $25 surcharge. Depth-Of-Field and Taking Sharp Photos will be the two focus points of instruction at this event. Only paid participants will be allowed inside. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted. Please, no pets, and the use of tobacco, vaping or use of other incendiary devices is strictly prohibited at this event.

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Abandoned State Hospital Photography Workshop 2023. This exclusive location, on the site of a partially abandoned state hospital located in eastern Massachusetts, features complete access to the former Old Admin building and museum storage area, superintendents house, violent female patients ward, public health museum, the chapel bowling alley, and several new buildings we have not previously had access to!  (Locations may vary depending on availability.)

DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED. There will be a morning (Session A) 9:00am-1:00pm, and afternoon (Session B) 1:30pm-5:30pm. There is a strict limit of 20 participants for each session, and no walk-ins will be admitted. You must reserve your spot with a paid admission, granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Water and snacks will be provided as part of your admission fee.

The cost for admission is $80.00 per person. You can purchase an all-day pass for both sessions for $125. Groups of three can be reserved for only $195 per group. Models are permitted for $25 and must be accompanied by a paid photographer.

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Urban Decay Photography present a return to The Victory Theater - Standing Room Only.

Join us at this magnificent location to photograph it in its glorious state of decay. The historic 1,680 seat theater opened in 1920 and closed in 1979. This enormous Art Deco theater features an orchestra pit as well as many other relics of a time long forgotten in American culture. The workshop offers an opportunity for both novice and experienced photographers alike to shoot inside one of the last-of-its-kind movie houses in America. Complete instruction and photographic tips are available from the two hosts, both longtime and noted photographers in the Western Massachusetts region. Experienced photographers are free to move about the theater on their own to shoot the many fascinating areas of this historic structure. Admission to the event is $42.50 per person. Included in your admission will be an (optional) instructional block on Ghost-Effect Photography. Models are permitted if accompanied by a photographer for an additional $20 surcharge. (A substantial portion of the proceeds donated to the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts, which is actively restoring the theater. This will be our 8th event hosted here.) Admissions will be strictly limited, so don't wait if you want one last chance to photograph this amazing location. (This event is from 9:00am-3:00pm in two three-hour blocks, you choose which session you want to attend. Participation is strictly limited, however, so admissions will sell fast.) THE ABANDONED ZOO PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
CATSKILL, NY

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Abandoned Zoo Photography Workshop. This location was open as a family-owned petting zoo from 1933 until it closed in 2006. The zoo, covering 200 acres, featured over 2,000 animals and more than 150 species. There are dozens of buildings to explore and photograph. Among the many animals at the zoo was a baby giraffe, born onsite in 2002. You will have unlimited access to the zoo and all of the buildings. Workshop focus will be on White Balance and Landscape Photography.

VERMONT CASTLE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 2022

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Vermont Castle Photography Workshop 2022, to be held on Saturday 10/08. This exclusive location is an architectural masterpiece, built in the middle of the 19th Century in the heart of the Green Mountains. It’s design is a blend of European styles. The castle is on a 115 acre estate, and has three floors spaciously divided into 32 rooms. The interior features are highlighted with 84 stained-glass windows and 13 fireplaces finished with imported tiles and bronze. The Castle’s furnishings include Far Eastern and European antiques and museum pieces, complemented by statuary, Chinese scrolls, and Oriental rugs. This is the first-of-a-kind event at this amazing location, and you will have full access to the entire building. Workshop focus will be on Ghost Effect Photography, and Depth-Of-Field.

The cost for admission to this exclusive event is $60.00 per person. Model fee $25 and accompanied by paid photographer. There are two time slots for this event: SESSION A (9:00am-1:00pm) OR SESSION B (1:00pm-5:00pm.)
