THE ORPHEUM THEATER PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Join Silver Crescent Photography and Buried In Time Photography at the famous Orpheum Theater in New Bedford. The building, designed by Louis E. Destremps, was constructed by the French Sharpshooter's Club of New Bedford to house both a ballroom and armed shooting range. It opened on April 15, 1912 (the same day the Titanic sank).

The Sharpshooters Club leased the theatre to the Orpheum Circuit of Boston, which brought a series of vaudeville and variety performers to New Bedford. By the 1920s the theatre showed motion pictures, as well.

This Orpheum theatre is believed to be the second oldest in the nation (it was built a year after the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles).

When the theatre opened, it seated 1,500 people. The theatre closed in 1958–59 and was only opened for special events. The sharpshooters club sold it in 1962, and it was used as storage by a tobacco company. The back of the theatre currently houses a supermarket, but the rest of the space is still empty. The building is currently privately owned.

This exclusive event is offered for $85.00 per person. All day passes are available for $130.00 each and are very limited. Models are permitted for $25.00 and must be accompanied by a paid photographer. For further information, please contact David at silvercrescentphotography@outlook.com

FORT ADAMS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP II
NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Abandoned Zoo Photography Workshop. This location was open as a family-owned petting zoo from 1933 until it closed in 2006. The zoo, covering 200 acres, featured over 2,000 animals and more than 150 species. There are dozens of buildings to explore and photograph. Among the many animals at the zoo was a baby giraffe, born onsite in 2002. You will have unlimited access to the zoo and all of the buildings. Workshop focus will be on White Balance and Landscape Photography.

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Urban Decay Photography present the Fort Adams Photography Workshop. This exclusive workshop provides access to many places in the fort that are off-limits to the public and other photography tours. Some of these exlusive areas include the bowling alley, latrine, kitchen, and officers' quarters. This colonial-era bastioned fortress was built in 1824 and stood in operation through many wars, finally being decommissioned in 1950. Overlooking beautiful Narragansett Bay, this location features great photo opportunities inside and out. There will be two sessions at this event, limited to 20 people per session. Admission is $80 per person. All day passes are available for only $130. Models are permitted along with a paid photography for an additional $25. Please note that no one under the age of 18 will be admitted to this event.

ABANDONED HOTEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
The Adler Hotel, Sharon Springs, NY

Mike and Dave present a return to one of their most iconic and exclusive locations - Abandoned Hotel Photography Workshop - The famous Adler Hotel in Sharon Springs, NY. This 150-room, five-story hotel operated from 1929 until 2004. Known for its therapeutic sulfur spa, it catered primarily to a Jewish clientele who travelled to Sharon Springs in the summers. This Spanish Colonial Revival style hotel was a summer destination for guests such as the Vanderbilts, Rensselaers, and Oscar Wilde. You will have complete access to this amazing building, as well as the spa in the basement. Many pieces of furniture, kitchen wares, and other nostalgic items remain inside the hotel for you to photograph.

There will be two sessions for this event. Session A will run from 9:00am-12:30pm, and Session B will run from 12:45pm-5:15pm. Admission cost is $75 per person. ***A SPECIAL ALL-DAY PASS IS AVAILABLE FOR ONLY $125 FOR BOTH SESSIONS*** Models can accompany a paid photography for a $25 surcharge. Depth-Of-Field and Taking Sharp Photos will be the two focus points of instruction at this event. Only paid participants will be allowed inside. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted. Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Vermont Castle Photography Workshop 2022, to be held on Saturday 10/08. This exclusive location is an architectural masterpiece, built in the middle of the 19th Century in the heart of the Green Mountains. It’s design is a blend of European styles. The castle is on a 115 acre estate, and has three floors spaciously divided into 32 rooms. The interior features are highlighted with 84 stained-glass windows and 13 fireplaces finished with imported tiles and bronze. The Castle’s furnishings include Far Eastern and European antiques and museum pieces, complemented by statuary, Chinese scrolls, and Oriental rugs. This is the first-of-a-kind event at this amazing location, and you will have full access to the entire building. Workshop focus will be on Ghost Effect Photography, and Depth-Of-Field.

The cost for admission to this exclusive event is $60.00 per person. Model fee $25 and accompanied by paid photographer. There are two time slots for this event: SESSION A (9:00am-1:00pm) OR SESSION B (1:00pm-5:00pm.)

Join us on Sunday November 5 as Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present The Haunted Halloween Village Photography Workshop 2022. This exclusive location in southern NH features movie quality sets, authentic farm backdrops, and monsters looming around every corner. We will have unlimited access to all areas of this amazing location. Perfect for model shoots, this exclusive workshop will focus on capturing photos using this unique setting as a backdrop. Instruction will be provided for both model shooting as well as creating "ghost images." There will be two sessions for this event. The first (Session A) will be from 9:00am-1:00pm, and the second (Session B) will be from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Participation for each time frame is strictly limited to the first 25 paid admissions, so be sure to secure your spot today. Cost for admission is $50 per person. ABANDONED NY MANOR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Photography present an exclusive photography workshop: The Dr. Oliver Bronson House in Hudson, NY. This amazing home, built in 1811, features a unique and photogenic winding staircase, as well as many other examples of period architecture. The house was featured in the 2012 film, "The Bourne Legacy."

 

Admissions to this event will be strictly limited to 15 people per session. Session A will run 9:00am-12:30pm, and Session B 12:30pm-4:00pm. Silver Crescent Photography and Buried By Time Urban Decay Photography present a return to The Victory Theater - Standing Room Only.

Join us at this magnificent location to photograph it in its glorious state of decay. The historic 1,680 seat theater opened in 1920 and closed in 1979. This enormous Art Deco theater features an orchestra pit as well as many other relics of a time long forgotten in American culture. The workshop offers an opportunity for both novice and experienced photographers alike to shoot inside one of the last-of-its-kind movie houses in America. Complete instruction and photographic tips are available from the two hosts, both longtime and noted photographers in the Western Massachusetts region. Experienced photographers are free to move about the theater on their own to shoot the many fascinating areas of this historic structure. Admission to the event is $42.50 per person. Included in your admission will be an (optional) instructional block on Ghost-Effect Photography. Models are permitted if accompanied by a photographer for an additional $20 surcharge. (A substantial portion of the proceeds donated to the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts, which is actively restoring the theater. This will be our 8th event hosted here.) Admissions will be strictly limited, so don't wait if you want one last chance to photograph this amazing location. (This event is from 9:00am-3:00pm in two three-hour blocks, you choose which session you want to attend. Participation is strictly limited, however, so admissions will sell fast.)
